This Handbook has been prepared and published by the Office of Copyright and Related Rights. It presents an overview of the rights granted to the rightsholders, their functionality and purpose, it analyses the subject matter of the protection, as well as issues related to collective management and exploitation, while it explains enforcement. The purpose of the Handbook is to answer to basic legal question related to the field and make notions and concepts related to Copyright and Related matters clear to users of copyrighted works.

Examination Guidelines
The Guidelines for Industrial Design Examination give instructions on the practice and procedure to be followed in the various aspects of the examination of industrial design applications. The Guideline is of utmost importance of the IP Agency; in charge of examination of industrial design applications in the unification of the decision-making process regarding the examination procedure.

IPR Cases by Customs
Kosovo Customs has an up-to-date legislative framework that has been recently approved. Law 06/L-015 on Customs Measures for Protection of Intellectual Property Rights and Administrative Instruction MF-53/2018 on Implementing Law 06/L-015 for Customs Measures for Protection of Intellectual Property Rights, are fully harmonized with the relevant EU acquis. The Guidelines in respect to new legislation in order that the Customs Officers will have up-to-date instructions on handling IPR cases.
Cybercrimes: Online Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights, A Guide for Enforcement Officers
Guidelines on Investigation of Intellectual Property crimes” is drafted and up-to-date with Kosovo’s Legal Framework and should assist respective Sectors and Directorates within Kosovo Police in investigation of Intellectual Property Crimes. The aforementioned guidelines should provide a list of measures and tools that Kosovo Police can use in investigation of such crimes.

The Booklet targets potential rightsholders of GI Protection; namely producers / traders / processors associations producing products coming from a certain geographical place, where their quality, reputation or other specific characteristics are since they come from that geographical place. The Booklet provides information why GIs are useful for businesses, different types of GI protection, how to protect and enforce GI rights in Kosovo, protection of GIs abroad, commercialisation of GI protected products, and useful contacts on the subject matter.

The Guidelines for Examination give instructions on the practice and procedure to be followed in the various aspects of the examination of GI applications. The Guideline is of utmost importance of the “Expert Commission on Agricultural Products and Foodstuffs” and the IP Agency in charge of the examination of the agricultural products and foodstuffs in the unification of the decision-making process regarding the examination procedure.
Guidelines for Market Inspectors - How to Supervise Intellectual Property Rights in Kosovo
Since the Intellectual Property Rights are fairly new in Kosovo and Market Inspectorate officials-inspectors needs to develop the experience needed, the Project has assisted the Market Inspectorate, and the guidelines developed in order to explain how IPR cases are handled by Market Inspectorate according to legislation in force and EU or International practice. The Guidelines refer to existing legal framework, and assist Market Inspectorate officials in handling of IPR cases. Besides, The Guidelines provide list of available tools on IPR handling for Market Inspectorate; including links to databases and training resources.

This first report of the economic contribution of the creative industries in Kosovo demonstrates that the creative sector is an important part of the national economy, contributing significantly to jobs, value, and trade generation. It confirms the importance of producing empirical evidence for policy making and provides important insights on the performance, dynamics, and processes in the creative sector.
